Sr. Electrical Engineer | Scarborough

Your responsibilities

• Produce specifications for, design, develop, manufacture and install new or modified electrical components or systems
• Create and maintain detailed electrical schematics, drawings, and specifications
• Work with other departments to troubleshoot engineering related issues
• Support designed products during the product life cycle
• Provide Engineering/Design support/solutions to other departments
• Prepare product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
• Plan and manage projects, and prepare material, cost and timing estimates, reports and design specifications for machinery and systems
• Support local and organization’s quality improvement initiatives
• Work with local authorities having jurisdiction in achieving product and installation code compliance
• Provide Engineering and product support to Sales organization
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
• Other duties as assigned

Your qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, coupled by a minimum of 8 years of experience in Engineering field
• Experience working within the construction industry is required, experience within the elevator industry is preferred
• Designation as Professional Engineer is preferred but not mandatory
• CAD drafting skills as well as programming skills are required
• Working knowledge of all Microsoft Applications required
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Creative problem solver who learns quickly and takes initiative with the ability to see the “whole picture” in order to drive the company to increased profitability
